Play tennis in the Cotswolds

Where are we?
Northleach Tennis Club can be found next to the King George V playing fields by the playground and river Leach. Meadow Lane footpath connects us to the main street just to the east of the town square. There are two high quality all weather tarmac courts and a small hut.
Our aim
We are a friendly club that promotes the playing of tennis for all ages. Juniors, seniors and rusty returners!
Playing Times
Throughout the summer (April to end of Sept) the club meets 6:30pm on Tuesday evenings, some Thursday evenings and throughout the year we meet every 3rd Sunday of the month at 2:00 pm (11:00am during the winter months).
The junior club is on Thursday afternoons from 4:00 till 6:00pm starting from 2nd April until the clocks change back in October.
The courts are available for hire to non-club members by arrangement with "Fruit Cakes" the bakery in the Town square. To use the courts outside shop hours then please contact either 01451-860903 or 01451-860548.
Coaching
Junior coaching takes place in five sessions according to age group, during school term time from Easter until half term at the end of October. For the 5-7 year olds coaching will take place on the tarmac courts on Wednesday afternoons between 4:00-4:45, the 7-8 year olds will be between 4:45-5:30 and the 8-9 year olds will be between 5:30-6:15 at a cost of £2.50 per session (45 minutes). The older juniors 10-12 year olds will be between 4:00-5:00pm on Fridays with the teenagers (13 and over) coached on Fridays between 5:00-6:00pm at a cost of £3 (one hour). All other coaching will be with prior arrangement. See Coaching Dates page.
For private lessons please contact Graham Stock for further information. Graham is UKCC Level 2 qualified, CRB checked and is a member of tenniscoachUK, the independant professional body for tennis coaches in the UK.
Competitions
Throughout the summer, numerous competitions and friendly matches with neighbouring clubs take place, with at least one themed event enjoyed by all. The club competitions begin in July with finals day in September. Details are on the club hut notice board. During the winter the East Glos tennis club run a "Flood light" league. The end of year presentation is the only formal occasion the club celebrates.
